Time Traveler History is an engaging and immersive class where students will explore world history through the eyes of those who lived it. In Famous Americans, students will dive into the lives of influential figures from history, science, sports, the arts, activism, and more using the engaging Who Was? book series. Each week, students will read and discuss a Who Was? book about a different American figure, gaining insight into their achievements, challenges, and contributions. This class is 2 of Code Crafts most popular Coding Courses combined! Students will be in-person Class with a certified CodeCraft Instructor Mondays and Wednesdays for the Fall Semester and continue their studies on Wednesday in the Spring.
Course 1: Python for Everybody
Description: This foundational course introduces the versatile Python programming language.
Students will learn Python syntax, data structures, and fundamental programming concepts through interactive exercises and projects.
Objectives:

Course 2: Coding Strategic Games with Python: Tic-Tac-Toe

Description: This hands-on course challenges participants to build their own Tic-Tac-Toe game using Python within the Codecraft Works game editor. Students will learn how to create a computer-guided character capable of playing strategically, ultimately demonstrating the “zero-sum” nature of the game when both players employ optimal strategies.
Multiple strategies will be discussed, allowing students to compare and contrast the different approaches to winning.

Welcome to Kitchen Chemistry! In this course, students will discover the exciting world of chemistry through the lens of food and cooking.
Through hands-on experiments, students will explore the chemical reactions that occur in food preparation and cooking. They will learn about the properties of different substances, such as acids, bases, and enzymes, and how they interact with each other to create the flavors, colors, and textures we experience in food.
Students will also explore the impact of cooking methods, such as baking, frying, and boiling, on the chemical makeup of food. They will investigate the chemical changes that occur during food preservation and fermentation, and how these processes can affect the taste and nutritional value of food.

In this immersive class, students will attend live theater performances, watch recorded productions or film adaptations, and analyze the art of storytelling on stage. Through engaging discussions and critiques, students will explore themes, genres, character development, and scriptwriting techniques.
Students will also apply what they learn by:

🎭 Performing live readings or short skits

Live Performance Requirement: Students must purchase a season pass and attend multiple live theater productions, primarily at the Henegar Center. These performances will take place on pre-selected Saturdays (evening or matinee). If a student misses an assigned date, they are responsible for attending a different showing.

- There is a registration fee of $100 per family per academic year.
- 20% of annual tuition and annual materials fees are due at registration.
- Remainder of fall tuition is due by Aug 6, and remainder of Spring tuition is due by Dec 11

We offer several discounts to our families:
- Multi-class discounts for any student enrolled in three or more classes!
- 15% Early Bird discount for any family who registers and pays fall semester in full by August 6th (and spring semester by Dec 11th)!

Materials and Supplies
In addition to tuition, some classes will have materials fees and/or required supplies.
- Materials fees cover consumable materials used during in-class projects. These fees will be collected upon registration.
- Supplies are items that will need to be purchased and brought to class (such as a specific book, robot kit, or tool).
Materials fees are non-refundable and non-trasnferable.
All students are required to bring a notebook and writing utensil to every class.
Many classes require the use of a laptop or tablet computer.
Direct-Bill Students through Step Up Students for Family Empowerment and Unique Abilities scholarships do not qualify for Early Bird or Cash Discounts.
Tutoring with Bailiwicks Sages is available by appointment at a rate of $50 per hour .

Reimbursement
You may pay your tuition and request reimbursement through Step-Up. With this option, you will qualify for all applicable discounts including the multi-class discount and early bird discount.
Direct Bill
Bailiwicks has ability to direct-bill Step-Up through the EMA platform. With this option, you will qualify for any applicable multi-class discounts.
